How do you forget valentines day? Well, his argument is that he had a really elaborite valentines day gift planned. Then he got too busy to follow through.
He knows I don't want to receive flowers at work, so he was either going to have some roses sent to everyone around me, but not me. Then at a particular time, each of my co-workers would give me a rose.

Low life! I got a box of candy, a CD and a card. My guy got 2 dozen roses and a card. He has no excuse! Next thing your gonna hear is the old, "It's all a marketing gimmick" story.
I didn't get anything either, but then again I did specifically say we didn't need to do anything. I was a dork and got him something anyways.
