Politics... politics... So much of it of late. I try to keep my politics are simple. First, I vote. Second I donate to candidates in purple states. Third, I keep warm up relationships with those who may disagree with me. At this point I'm not under the illusion that I can stop extremists or the over sharing over of fake news. The least I can do is not burn down those relationships.
My friend Clem is thinking about flying to a purple state and participating in a door knocking campaign. I've volunteered for telephone campaigning in the past. Perhaps I'll do so again.

Politics right now is very polarized... but one side is Positive and Uplifting, while the other side Extreme and Mean Spirited. Tho' that might sound like a Choice that should be quite easy, seems it isn't for many. I'm not Partisan at all but this Tribal Cultlike Devotion to an Individual who seems unhinged and in serious cognitive decline, with a new sycophant following that replaced the old sycophant following... I just find it beyond disturbing. Bravo to you and your Friends for doing the important Volunteer Work.
Sometimes, the best thing is to sit in the grandstands, eat the popcorn and watch the fray. Not get muddied up, yelled at, or given to one side or the other.
